DINNER AUCTION COVID PROTOCOL

UPDATED COVID PROTOCOL AS OF 03.31.21

As the city of Fargo looks to March 22 for the citywide mask mandate to expire, the following Covid protocol is presently in play for the 37th Annual Shanley Deacon Dinner Auction on April 24:

  • IHG, the national governing organization of Holiday Inn properties is keeping their public space mask mandate in all of their properties. It is expected that attendees will wear face coverings in the public spaces of the hotel - this includes the hallways, Silent and Deacon Select rooms of the dinner auction and when walking around the Great Hall during the dinner and Live Auction.

  • Due to Covid protocol and limited space, there will be no opportunity to celebrate Mass as a group this year.

  • Due to the present Covid guidelines for large public gatherings, the Great Hall has been set at 75% capacity - assembly cannot be greater than 450 attendees.

  • Guests can choose to wear or not wear a mask while seated at their dining table.

  • Guests that are ordering from the several drink stations are to social distance at least to 6 feet and to wear a mask.

  • There will be no "self serve" buffet station at the 2021 dinner auction.  Hors d'oeuvres will be butled in the Silent Auction areas from 4 - 6 pm by the Holiday Inn staff.  From 6 - 6:45 pm, hors d'oeuvres will also be butled in the Great Hall at guests' dining tables.

  • There will be no complimentary post-auction pastry/coffee bar offered at this dinner auction.

  • Due to Covid-19 protocol, there will be no bidding kiosks (laptops) at the 2021 Shanley Deacon Dinner Auction. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
